A NEGATIVE DAY IN SPACE
Created over 5Â days during the AGDS Summer Jam 2020
Made by a team of 7 to the theme "Negative Space", A Negative Day in Space has the player take control of a female protagonist, travelling through time to solve puzzles and escape an invaded spaceship.

As I was running the Game Jam while participating, I decided to take a step back from Design and Production and work solely as a programmer. With such a large team a lot of my focus was on creating tools which my colleagues could use in-engine, such as level building tools for the designers, or systems that allowed artists to quickly link the past and present artwork together.

Key features included:

-2D character controller, including vertical movement, jumping and climbing ladders.
-Time travel mechanic.
-Tools allowing designers to link objects between past & present.
-Tools allowing designers to link elevators, buttons and doors.
